Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 9, 2026
1. Introduction
mytellme.app ("the Service") is operated by Léo Blouin, a sole trader (micro-entreprise) registered under SIRET 94910538100022, based at 7 rue Léonard De Vinci, 35220 Saint-Jean-sur-Vilaine, France ("we", "us", "our").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account holders (registered users)
When you create an account, we collect through our authentication provider Clerk:
- Email address
- Name (if provided)
- Authentication tokens and session data
- Subscription status and billing identifiers (via LemonSqueezy)
2.2 Survey respondents
When someone submits a testimonial through a public survey link, we may collect:
- A rating (stars, emoji, or thumbs)
- A written comment
- A video recording (uploaded to Cloudinary)
- Optional identity fields: name, email address, company, job title — only if the survey creator has enabled them
Respondents do not need to create an account to submit a testimonial.
2.3 Analytics data
We operate a lightweight, self-hosted analytics system. When a page is visited, we record the page URL, timestamp, and a one-way hash (SHA-256) of the visitor's IP address. The raw IP address is never stored. This data is used solely to understand aggregate traffic and is not linked to any individual user profile.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing your account and billing data to provide and manage the Service.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Operating our self-hosted analytics (hashed IP, page, timestamp) to monitor the health and usage of the Service.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Processing testimonial content and any optional identity information submitted by survey respondents, who provide this data voluntarily.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send transactional emails (new response notifications, account-related emails).
- To display testimonials on your Wall of Love page.
- To measure aggregate site traffic via anonymised analytics.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond operating the Service.
5. Data Retention
Account data: Retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 3 years of account closure.
Testimonials and survey responses: Retained as long as the associated account exists, then deleted within 3 years of account closure.
Analytics data (hashed IP + page + timestamp): Retained for up to 3 years.
Billing records: Retained for 10 years as required by French accounting law.
